Toastmasters came to Singapore in the 50’s but actual take off was in 1967 and the first President is Ling Lee Hua. CTM Ling is still an active member and always renders positive advice to the younger members. Toastmasters Club of Singapore is the first Club in Singapore and under her guidance, many clubs are born. Now they are about 200 clubs in Singapore.

Toastmasters Club of Singapore is the first Club in Singapore and under her guidance, many clubs are born. Now they are about 200 clubs in Singapore.
Toastmasters Club of Singapore is always and will always be the leading club in the Toastmasters movement in the region. At the moment there are still about 15 active senior members, though the numbers are dwindling. At the moment the total members stand at 135.
We meet every Monday, except the 5th Monday, of the month. We rotate between Sheraton Towers Hotel at Scotts Road and YMCA Singapore of 1 Orchard Road. The location is ideal for all. They are situated near MRT and easy accessible by public transports.
Our normal meeting begins with dinner and fellowship. The formal meeting commences at 7.15pm. At 8.45pm we have 15 minutes of tea and coffee break. The meeting reconvenes at 9.00 pm and ends at 10.00pm. We have a solid 3 – hour of interaction and learning.
